Gary L Boring

Gary was admitted to practice in 1973. Gary serves as the Senior Attorney for B+T and specializes in Estate Planning, Contracts, Agricultural law, Cooperatives, Business, Collections and Real Estate law. Gary served as General Counsel for Countrymark Co-op, Inc. from 1997 to 1998 and then as CEO of Countrymark from 1998 to 2003.
In 2003, Gary returned to a private legal practice with is former partner, Mark Coy and his son Michael. Gary is a member of the Indiana Bar Association and has completed of 35 corporate mergers for Indiana Agricultural Cooperatives.
Gary has spoken for the Institute for Cooperation and has served on panels at various cooperative conferences. He has spoken to numerous cooperative boards of directors on director responsibilities and liabilities.
Michael E. Boring

Michael Boring is an experienced attorney and litigator with a wide variety of experience in the areas of Agribusiness, Agricultural Cooperative Law, Contract Disputes, Grain Delivery Contracts, Products Liability, and Employment Law. He is also an experienced criminal attorney. Not only has Michael litigated numerous complex cases and holds significant civil and criminal trial experience, but he also provides clients with counsel on business formation, contract negotiation and training to avoid litigation exposure.
Born and raised in Shelby County, Indiana, Michael worked there on his family’s diversified grain and livestock farm, founded in 1853. He and his three sons currently live on the family’s rural farm in Shelby County where they are the 6th generation of the Boring family to reside there. His dedication to the business and agricultural community is rooted in his farming background, as well as his family’s agricultural and business history in Indiana.
Christopher R. Taylor

Chris joined Boring + Taylor in 2016, bringing with him considerable experience in the areas of employment law, civil litigation, and business immigration. A cum laude graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law and former chair of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Employment, Labor, and Benefits Section, Chris spent the first thirteen years of his practice with two of the largest law firms in Indiana.
As an employment lawyer, Chris provides advice and counsel to employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment and equal opportunity laws. He has represented clients in a variety of employment litigation matters, including discrimination suits under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as wage and hour class actions, wage payment and whistleblower claims, and employee benefits litigation under ERISA. Chris was named an Indiana Super Lawyers Rising Star® in the area of Employment Litigation in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Chris is experienced in all facets of the civil litigation process in both state and federal courts. He has represented clients in non-compete, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and securities violations cases, and is also experienced in toxic tort and family law litigation.
In addition, Chris advises and counsels employers on issues relating to employment-based immigration. He assists clients with preparing H-1B petitions for temporary workers and petitions for employment-based lawful permanent residency. He also counsels clients on I-9 compliance and a myriad of other business immigration issues.
While in law school, Chris was an extern for Federal Magistrate Judge Christopher A. Nuechterlein of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Also while in law school, Chris spent a year as an AmeriCorps volunteer fostering youth participation in community service activities in Porter County, Indiana.
Chris was admitted to practice in 2002. He is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana State Bar Associations, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Buckley
Mascot
Buckley joined Boring + Taylor in 2016 as the official mascot. He possesses an advanced degree in Companionship from Dog State and has been working for forty-two dog years. Buckley assists the staff in various matters and can usually be found in the breakroom or by Chris’s side.
